Mr Ken Wilder’s artwork Skylights inspired me a lot, he gave a different value and meaning to the children’s mortuary and also brought the space itself to the audience like a drama, creating an incredible atmosphere with ordinary elements. The main project I am working on for unit2 is also about the concept of life&death, my two core elements are also light and water, this work has opened my eyes to the other possibilities that light and water can create, and has made me think further more about the relationship between light and space.

I think this work turns this small space into a stage under the spotlight, with the artist’s own unique narrative and theatre-style performance, together with sound art, presenting a reflection on life and the ability to have a dialogue in space.
